9.30-10.30am-Ice breaking/Introductions/Expectations
11.00-11.15am-Health Break
11.15-1.00pm-Introduction to Human Rights/Social Justice
1.00-2.00pm-Lunch
2.00-4.00pm-Plenary discussions on Human Rights Situation in Kenya
4.00-4.15pm-Health Break
4.15-6.00pm-case study:success story of a youth in Kenya advocating on social justice issues.
6.00-8.00pm-Bath/Dinner
8.00-11.00pm- Movie(theme: young people working for social change in their communities)
N/B- The facilitator should provide a common understanding of Human Rights and social justice
Use both theoretical and practical approaches during the sessions and be engaging and as interactive as possible

Day 3. Saturday 11th December, 2010

11.15-1.00pm- Rights-based Approach/Social Justice

8.00-11.00pm-Camp Fire

Day 4. Sunday 12th December, 2010

9.30-11.00am- reflection on Jamhuri Day and its relevance to young people/youth contribution on new constitution and constitutionalism.
11.00-11.15am-Health Break
11.15-1.00pm-Youth leadership and organizing/Progressive values
1.00-2.00pm- Lunch
2.00-5.00pm- Future Plans/Way forward
5.00-5.30pm- Closing Remarks from Organizers/Conveners
5.30-6.00pm- Issue of certificates
6.00-8.00pm- Bath/Dinner
8.00pm-Farewell Party/Music & Performances

Day 5. Monday 13th December, 2010
8-9am: Departure

N/B:
  • Participants are expected to develop their implementation strategies and how they shall implement the knowledge and skills acquired during the camp.
  • They are also expected to come up with their new year's resolution pegged on the experience from the camp.
